A tough little general purpose flashlight.

The Lumintop Tool AA is a cool little AA flashlight, but it also supports a higher voltage 14500 Li-Ion battery. It's very lightweight so it easily fits in your pocket. You don't even know it's there. The quality seems top notch and the threads are square and very smooth. The threads are anodized so you can manually lock the battery to prevent accidentally turning it on in your pocket. It has a simple mechanical switch on the end to turn it on and off, then a half-press cycles through the three brightness modes. It always starts low then goes to medium and then medium and then high with no memory. I checked the output on my calibrated Texas_Ace Lumen tube. With Duracell AA: Low 7 lm, Mid 55 lm, High 90 lm, With Protected Evva 14500 (800 mAh): Low 8 lm, Mid 80 lm High 450 lm AA when you run out of charge and can't charge it. Both are good depending on your needs. The Cree xpl emitter has a nice cool white beam with no blue. I like the color rendering very much. Maybe it's somewhere between neutral white and cool white. The weakest yellow cast is observed in the center of the hotspot. This is difficult to see on anything other than a white wall. Some people probably won't even see it. I want all of my cool white lights to be the exact same color. Included are a pocket clip, extra O-rings, glow-in-the-dark diffuser cap, and strap. You can easily flip the clamp by flipping the battery tube and you won't scratch the light. Lumintop also has a flat-back AA battery version. On the one hand, the flat lid has a magnet, which can be handy. On the other hand, you have to twist the cover back and forth to turn it on and switch modes. I'm not a fan of this, but it's nice to have both butts. I put 5 stars.
