My son loves these jacket/pants. Threads stuck out in places, but no loose seams were found. Mid-weight material with a fairly smooth exterior. After washing, the inside is a bit "fluffy" which makes it very soft and cuddly. I have a lanky kid, so the pants on gym kits are almost always too big in the waist. Both pieces fit him perfectly! I would say that while they are true to size, they are more on the "thin" side of the size chart. I understand why many reviews recommend sizing up, especially if a loose, relaxed fit is preferred.
