I first gave this watch to my son for Christmas. I choose this particular watch for the cost, looks and quality and I am also concerned that my son (who is 9 years old) will lose it quickly. The good news is that my son didn't lose the watch (come on son!) the watch stopped working. Water got inside the watch and burned the internal circuitry. Yes I have told my son not to press the watch buttons while they are still there (according to the instructions) but is that true? He's 9. It's hard to say the watch is water resistant when it really isn't. My advice: only if you want a cheap watch, that looks good and you expect your child to lose it within three months.
