Our 12 year old Boston Chihuahua weighing 12lb fits well in this bag. There are many straps to attach the bag to the bike. The blanket is durable and has a cool side and a warmer side. The flap over the front privacy screen is not fastened, but the rope that ties the fabric around the top of the pet is long enough to attach to a rack underneath the bag to keep cold air out. This valve is a great feature in the summer, allowing you to ventilate the room. The straps come in handy when you need to carry it on a hike or as a handbag. Our pup never lies down and I don't think he would be comfortable but he is perfect for cycling. Eventually he stretched out both paws and relaxed in the material that had gathered around him. It wouldn't be very close, but it really worked for him. To attempt! For the price it couldn't be better!
