These are quality neoprene pants. They are well made. I had originally ordered the 3 mm but found they bunched behind the knees. These 1.5 mm are the perfect thickness for kayaking. Some reviewers complained about the smell. Yes, they do have a smell, but that is the typical neoprene material smell, which will fade with time. I am a 156 lb female who is 5' 11" and the XL fit me perfectly. They would be a tiny bit too big if I wanted them as scuba pants, but I am using them for kayaking so I wanted a little bit of moving space. I tried many brands and sizes and these fit the bill for me, very happy!
