I love the coat and the fur around the hood keeps my face warm. I'm medium height and my relaxed shoulders are 17" in diameter and my chest is 38". I weigh 125. I'm so glad I didn't buy a small one! The sleeves cover just under my arms but when I raise my arms they move back a lot. So if you need to clear snow from the car or reach in front of you or drive through, the sleeves should be long enough. Do not choose larger if your shoulders cannot fill the width of the seams, as shown in the table. The reason for this is that they protrude or bulge as the coating material is so thick that it can only go up. It conforms snugly to the body so it doesn't look chubby or clunky. I could wear a thin quilted vest underneath. It kept me warm outside in 27 degrees F so it worked! The clammy chill in the air didn't bother me. I even had the top unbuttoned, but it closes to the chin. The pockets are very deep and the filling is double that of my old coats like this one. The case is really waterproof and windproof. The reviewer noted that this coat is not as warm as advertised, but it is warm without a sauna inside and I think it's better than brutally torturing geese and ducks to have their down. It still happens because people want to buy down, but why? This coat is very warm! There is no sinking and everyone wins when our animals can live happily and so can we. Buy this coat not just for its qualities, but because you want to send a message to other companies that you can live without them harming our precious animals. Buy it for that. I certainly did, and I'm proud of myself for it. I hope you enjoy this coat and remember our feathered friends who only hurt themselves to satisfy unnecessary desires that end up in the trash.
