Attention buyers! There is nothing mechanically wrong with it (as far as I know). It just doesn't work with the newer "square" outlets. Why are you talking. Square sockets don't have a screw in the middle! Yes, you can "plug in" the adapter, but it doesn't plug firmly into the outlet. Still usable, but you have to hold it when you unplug it from the socket/adapter. Another item. All six adapter plugs connect to the top plug of the outlet. No problem except when a wall switch cord is plugged into the outlet. I think the rule of thumb is that the top fork is the one that "shifts", and the bottom fork is always hot. If you don't mind toggling all six adapter plugs on and off, I think you're spot on.
