Don’t use for micro macrame.
This wasn’t good for micro macrame jewelry. There was too much wax (it flaked off in my hands if I didn’t remove excess wax prior to knotting). It also had a petroleum-like smell as other reviewers have mentioned. The smell didn’t go away after airing out/wearing the jewelry.
