The Samsung dryer belt broke the other day. Dry 3 years old. It made that horrible squeak for several months before the belt snapped and the drum stopped turning. I've never disassembled a dryer before. I've read that if there is a problem with the idler pulley, the belt tends to break, so I decided to buy this kit. There were no instructions, but I saw the guy disassemble his dryer on YouTube. Took me 57 minutes from start to finish. My struggle was fitting a new pulley. First I used an original bolt from my car which didn't work causing the spring to pop out and then I sat there asking how the spring works for 15 minutes and had to find another video to help me. But the dryer is back together. It spins and works. There is no more creaking or weird noises, so I think it was the tensioner that caused the belt to break. I hope this holds up! It was shipped very quickly. And it saved me $350, which was the average amount they told me when I called several Samsung repair shops. Definitely worth doing it yourself and I really hope it holds up as promised. :) Gratitude!
