Review updated 7/2017 So the bag turned out really well. I loved it. However, around May 2017, one of the small buckles fell off, causing the strap to break. I was able to reattach the strap by sewing it directly onto the bag. Unfortunately it didn't help. Mainly due to the fact that another small buckle fell off. I carried my wallet, iPad, Nook, my personal planner and a small pencil case with me most of the time. I have a water bottle, but I chose to carry it in my hand because it's a big bottle. The rest of the items weren't particularly difficult. But I think the weight of these small items together was too heavy for the bag. Now I'm giving it three stars instead of five because the inside zip was amazing and the style of the bag was just what I like. Sewing on the handles and attaching them to the bag requires a lot of work. My original review said I might buy again in the future. I'm not so sure this time. While the price is currently half what I originally paid, the large bag should last much longer than nine months before needing replacement. First Review I really like this bag. I was a bit concerned reading some of the reviews which said the bag had a strong odor (I'm sensitive to certain smells) and the bag had a permanent crease due to the way it was packaged. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box! The large bag was packaged in a box containing a large bag with the company's name on it. The first thing I noticed was a very faint smell; nothing you couldn't handle sitting in front of an open window for several hours. The next thing I noticed was the lack of a permanent fold mark! Although the bag lay flat in the box, I believe that was because there was some extra paper in the box to support it. The bag is a very good size. I tested it to see if it could withstand abuse from a teacher carrying tons of school supplies. Right now it fits a personal-sized planner, an iPad, a pen case filled with pens, a Nook tablet, and a water bottle. And one more place! I can also put a light sweater/jacket or scarf inside if the weather gets cooler. I like the feel of the bag. I was concerned that he would be on the weak side. However, this is not the case. It's well made and looks great. I'll admit it's a bit "shiny" due to the wax used. But I know that will fade over time and this bag will still look amazing. I am very happy with this purchase and may purchase again in the future if there is ever a need to replace the large bag.
