I bought to darken the occasional white mustache I get. It did not work. First, this stuff smells awful (like hair dye). Replacing my nice smelling regular detergent with this is already a huge downside, but if it worked I was ready. With regular use, it dries out my beard and makes my mustache look a bit messy, like after a week of hiking. Unfortunately, it practically does not affect the hair color. I had to use every day just to keep the slight initial darkening from fading, it seems to cover rather than penetrate. There was no cumulative effect as advertised with daily use or close to it, I can't imagine how often you would need to use it to get the desired effect. It might be because I have a thick mustache, but this product definitely didn't help me. I gave up after two weeks when I saw that my gray hair was still all white and my beard was like a washcloth.
