This docking station enclosure adapter is fast and supports both 3.5" and 2.5" drive sizes. I currently use both sizes. My SSD 2.5 drives are just as fast as if they were internally attached to my computer. I have another old computer that cannot use 4TB internal drives. This adapter works by allowing me to read a full 4TB on this computer through my USB 3 ports. If you need an external drive adapter, I would recommend this one!
