Advantages - I like that they protect our toothbrushes from possible insects, dust and germs in the air and in the bathroom. They also snap into the head of my daughter's Oral b recharchae toothbrush, although this is slightly larger than the round part. Con - they cover the bristles of the toothbrush but leave the back of the head exposed. We recently moved and had a problem with cockroaches (yes very gross but eradicated now). They still leave room for small big arms and tentacles. We pack toothbrushes in Ziploc bags to keep them hygienic, but perhaps a fully enclosed case that fits this particular head and can be zipped shut would be nice too.
