Between this model and the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300, I made my decision. The photographs are almost all of the same caliber. The Sony is larger and appears more contemporary (well, it costs a little more than the Canon) Pros: The fotik appears enormous in the photographs, but it is actually very small))) Why am I drawn to this model? Compactness, first. can be packed in a compact bag. 2. Awe-inspiring zoom. The quality of images does not suffer when zooming. 3. Image caliber. This "soap box" is comparable to certain SLR cameras, in my opinion. Images are crisp and clear. 4. Simple setup. The camera has numerous settings (AUTO, portrait, low light, monochrome, fisheye effect, toy camera effect, miniature effect, super bright, poster effect, fireworks, slow shutter speed). The scene brightness, image color, white balance, ISO, self-timer, photo format (16:9 3:2 4:3 1:1), resolution, and photo and video quality are all customizable. 5. Build caliber. has certain drawbacks inferior video (albeit 720p). The camera's noise may be heard in the video (such trrrrrrrrrrrrr). It is better to use this Canon for photography.
