These hooks look solid and I imagine some buyers will put them on the 'proper' surface, but for those of us who live in typical homes built in the last 20 years or so been keeping these things nowhere near the same way. as well as the cheap plastic alternative from Amazon. The first problem is that the manufacturer is cheating by not applying a full 3m square of adhesive similar to "Command" on the back. Instead, they come with two thin strips of adhesive on each end and four little tubes of cheap glue that you have to leave on the back of the hooks to make them stick! That's right - these little guys are glued to your wall. Even with glue, two hooks with empty daypacks fell off within hours of sticking. Ridiculous. I sent them back to Amazon and bought more plastic hooks. They don't look as pretty, but at least they hold the same weight on the wall.
