Wrong blade?

This is the second cricket knife I've used. The first one I bought worked great and I used it to cut 1.6mm basswood with no problems but of course it started to dull with use. I bought this one thinking it would fit well because it's a Cricut brand, but when I first used it to cut it halfway it completely broke down. I have no idea why, there was nothing that could have caused it to break like that. So I'm thinking maybe this one is just defective? I've ordered a replacement, let's see how it works.
