Review on Activated Bamboo Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste by Brian Foster

Fluoride-free and odd foam Howe

This bamboo charcoal teeth whitening toothpaste is fluoride-free and produces an odd gray foam with an uncomfortable mouthfeel (to me at least), so not my favorite. I occasionally use powdered charcoal to whiten my teeth and remove coffee stains, so I wasn't surprised to find this toothpaste is a black gel. It has a nice minty flavor and seems to leave my teeth clean and fresh. My problem is that it foams a lot when brushing and the foam stubbornly sticks to my mouth. Maybe coconut oil in toothpaste? I don't know but it's just a mouth feel I don't like. It's a personal preference because my son didn't seem to mind. It also does not contain fluoride. I prefer fluoridated toothpaste as it combines with sticky foam, won't buy again. But I'm giving 2 stars because there are people who don't want fluoride in their mouths, so they might like this toothpaste.
