I knew this gaming headset was NOT brand new, which is fine because sometimes refurbished is just as good as brand new, but in my case it wasn't. This headset has two settings built in and one in the middle of the row controls volume, mutes the mic, adds bass and a few other things it does, but this item along with the mic on the headset was poor. I play online games and the people I play with keep telling me that my voice sounds really bad from this mic. So I called Revain tech support and told them all this and they picked it up and sent me another gaming headset so I'll upvote this 2 star review if I get the replacement headset if it does works as they suggest. will change 2 stars to 5 stars so stay tuned. Here's my update, I got another headset from Amazon and still nothing good, the mic on this headset didn't work as it should, this is another replacement, I don't want another replacement, that makes 2 bad headsets from Amazon, me won't go through this anymore. Don't buy this upgraded headset.
