Very nice - polished and beautiful - long lasting

I have tons of regular nail polishes that I bought before I started using gels. I love gel polish - the shine and how long it lasts - but I was always sad to see my other polishes sitting on themselves staring at me. I've made "gel sandwiches" and while they were good, they still didn't last as long as a regular gel manicure. When I saw this product I thought why not? And I'm glad I did! My manicure lasted as long as my regular 2 week gel manicure. The photos I've uploaded are after 8 days of wearing my last color - and I'm really excited! No chips, no wear. How I used it: I applied my favorite gel base coat - my choice is the Gelish base, the rest worked out fine too. Apply base coat as usual with UV/LED lamp. On a plastic surface (or wax paper I think) add a drop or two of Hydrocol. Then add a drop or two of your favorite polish. Using a nail polish brush (or a small brush), swirl the nail polishes together and mix very well. If you don't mix well, you won't get the full effect. Using a nail polish brush or brush, buff your nails as you would any other gel polish. I applied two thin coats and cured between coats with a UV/LED lamp. Don't forget to pin the ends of your nails. (If you're using a nail polish brush, don't put it back into the polish between coats.) Use your favorite gel polish. I usually make the top coat a bit thicker than my usual thin colored coats and again by capping the ends. Dry as usual with a UV/LED lamp. (I usually take twice as long to dry on the final coat as on color.) Yes, the nail color will be diluted a bit - you're essentially mixing the color with the clear coat. Surprisingly, the Orly paint I used ("Reel Him In") didn't dilute too much. I suspect if I applied a third coat the result would be the same as in the bottle. I did not find my polish/hydrocol combo to air dry quickly - the instructions above were enough for one hand application. , and by the end of the second layer it had not dried on the plastic at all. Oh, and don't forget to clean the polishing brush or brush when you're done. Wipe the polishing brush well with a paper towel before putting it back in the bottle. Rubbing alcohol on a paper towel worked great for the brush. Anyway, if it was helpful, thanks. But thanks for reading anyway! :)
