I had the original amazing DS, I still have the DS Lite (even the awesome Zelda Gold Edition) and I now prefer to play the DSi XL whenever possible. I sold my old DSi to get a DSi XL and I'm very glad I did. Aside from the XL's extra screen, the DSi's battery life was noticeably shorter compared to the DSi XL. The large XL screens are excellent - yes, they're a bit softer in graphics than the DS Lite. Comparing the welcome text on the DS Lite to the DSi XL, the text on the DS Lite is razor sharp, while it's slightly blurry on the XL. As a home cinema enthusiast, I'm a fan of graphics that are presented at their best, but the slightly softer, or in some cases slightly blockier graphics (I stress lightly) of the DSi XL's large screens aren't in the least bit off-putting. I prefer playing games on my DSi XL unless: A) I need exceptional portability, the DSi XL is much larger than the DSi or DS Lite when it comes to fitting in your pocket. B) I need GBA support like DSi, unfortunately DSi XL loses the GBA slot for the secondary camera - I really almost never use either camera.
