I like that the insoles are removable and can be machine washed with the shoes. I bought them for swimming and since buying them I have never slipped on the deck. Order one size up if you're between sizes, this is not a shoe to wear with any type of socks. I also use them for hiking shoes (I live in Florida) and they are great for walking ankle-deep flooded trails as the water drains right out of the shoe. I would recommend machine washing them on a regular cycle on the cold setting and then air drying them and the insoles. So far they make a very durable impression. The shoes come with two pairs of laces, which comes in handy if you want to change up the contrast. (The shoes I bought are dark blue from us and I received white and dark blue laces.) Overall I am very happy with the purchase of these shoes.
