This is a fun class item. It's durable enough to be worn on carpet, but I'd be afraid of dropping it on a hard surface too often. It's not very loud, but I think it's a good motivational tool in the classroom. I have the blue one, it's very attractive and the kids will love it. The delivery was incredibly fast. I ordered it at work yesterday and came home to have it waiting for me today! He's on it right away! I would give five if it was louder.
