This Artesia electric hotplate is very well built, very functional, relatively large and has exceptional heat control for a smooth, flat surface. Ideal for multiple side dishes for a family meal or buffet selection. In my case, I like to use this hot plate to keep different types of sauces at the right serving temperature during my catering or buffet. I find it very useful, especially when serving pasta dishes and various sauces such as alfredo sauce, vodka, marinara and clam sauce. It stays warm and ready to be consumed by guests. The temperature range is better than any other hot plate I've used. .
