Deep Dark Black Abyss

I had a 7" long, 1/4" wide crack in a black granite countertop just in front of the sink. It sat there for a few years and I finally decided to refurbish it so I wouldn't be using the countertop for a few years. After some research it turned out that it would be best to use a two-part transparent epoxy with pigment. Two drops of black pigment is about 2-3 oz. made of transparent black epoxy resin. It froze as if it were a solid piece of black plastic. It had a glossy finish so keep that in mind. I didn't care as the repair needed smoothing and the countertop refinishing. Once I sanded down the epoxy it stopped shining, but left untouched it became shiny. I don't know if my epoxy cured to a glossy finish or if it was pigment. Either way, this material works well and makes a relatively big difference on small epoxy jobs.

Cons
