Review on 🔊 Bellari PA550 Preamp by Rebecca Bourassa

I've been playing with a Sony PS-X6 turntable to listen to vinyl after washing it. When I switched to the Grado Black3 pickup, I got very boomy bass on some recordings with my Schitt Mani preamp. This involved trying different gain settings by flipping small switches on the bottom of the unit, and the results were far from satisfactory. The tone controls were the reason I tried this product and a very small adjustment seems to solve the problem. I'd like a switch, but I'd like the added versatility of additional inputs. Not a big fan of headphones, but this unit is way better than the little tube unit I use with a tablet. Plenty of gain for a Dayton Audio D-Amp to power a pair of vintage Sansui speakers. This is my first experience with a Rolls/Bellari product and I am pleased with the build quality and "Made in America" which was also a factor in this purchase.
