I've just moved into an apartment so I have 2 of these (one for the box spring and 1 for the mattress) for beg protection and stain protection This was the only queen size mattress cover I've found so far that fits my double sided pillow mattress (16" thick). It's basically anything I like as long as I put it on. What I do Hate is that the ad says it's smooth and quiet and it's not true! This thing is so loud it's annoying enough that I'm thinking of returning it. If you touch it with your hand it's on it.. always still noisy. when you sit on it and get up again when the mattress reopens. it sounds as loud as popcorn bursting in the next room! when it's on a bear bed in the woods and nobody no he wants pop-p is it easier to make a sound? YES! If you are a couple where one person is a light sleeper and the other is restless, I would like that. I do not recommend this particular cover. You will hear rustling all night long. Also, there is a faint yellow stain on one of the blankets, but I didn't notice until I washed it and was about to put it on the bed. This one will sit on a spring block but hopefully they didn't send me anything used. ?! Can't comment on the water resistance as I just got it and don't want to spill anything on my bed just to test it.
