To be honest, if I were you I would just invest in a really nice silver chain that will last a long time and that you can really take apart without resisting or calling your mom for help. Also, it rusts pretty quickly and smells bad and I only wore it for about 4 days, MAOI. But to each his own. Purchase at your own risk.
