I bought this light for my truck to be used as a signal light when working on the side of the road On a positive note the extension cord is long enough for my purposes and the switchgear is intuitive. The mounts had to be used unconventionally, but it was manageable. Unfortunately, this light doesn't do justice to several aspects: First, the light is only really bright when you're looking at it (side vision is poor at best), even at night. Second, more importantly, the end of the cigarette lighter (the part that normally goes in and out) has an overly stiff spring. The spring is so stiff that it doesn't compress the link enough to make a good connection. I've already noticed if the ght periodically disconnects during use due to a bad contact on the back of the cigarette lighter port (yes I've tried at least 3 separate ports and I can definitely put this down to a spring that's almost too heavy with the fingers to compress).
