I bought it for those cold winter nights when Jiji wanted to go out on the porch but it was too cold to stay outside. He didn't really like it for the first five minutes, but I (and him!) were patient and just put it on longer and longer each day, giving him treats, pets, and lots of "Good boy!" when he did first time he put it on, he walked, moved a few feet at a time, sat for a moment, then moved again and couldn't jump. Now he runs free and jumps back and forth (he is a very active cat). He seems very happy that he can step out onto the glass-enclosed porch and still feel cozy on cold nights. I give him a treat every time I undress him and he seems very happy. It suits him. He is a medium sized 13 pound American Shorthair and I bought him a medium size. The only criticism is that it is a bit tight in the arm area. Maybe next time I'll order a size up and see how it goes. The quality of the fabric is warm and wonderful. Judging by other reviews I expected good quality and got good quality.
