4 years ago I bought Star Screen Back & Eco Leather Seat Manager Chair, Espresso. The welds in the bracket on the underside of the seat had failed after 4 years of my fat ass so I needed a new one. I really liked this chair and felt that 4 years is an acceptable lifespan so I would really like to buy this chair again. Unfortunately, it was out of stock at the time of ordering (available today - 07/31/2020), so I started looking for a suitable alternative. I finally settled on this Modway chair. When it finally arrived (see my VirVentures Seller Rating) it was in good condition, easy to unpack and very easy to assemble. The seat itself is quite comfortable, but I would like to be able to adjust the recline of the seat and that's not an option. The backrest reclines more than we would like, and it's not adjustable either. I like my chair to rock, but I like it tight so it doesn't rock too easily. Even on the stiffest setting I could achieve, this seat wobbles easier than I'd like. So in terms of adjustments, go up and down and rock/don't rock. Compared to the Office Star chair (which currently costs just a few dollars more than this Modway chair), the Modway armrests feel cheap. I suspect this chair will not last 4 years. Hence my recommendation: If you are looking for an office chair with adjustable armrests, spend a few euros more and get the Office Star chair. And if VirVentures is selling the Office Star chair, DO NOT buy it from them!
