I bought 2 of these and use them quite often to charge iPhones. Recently one of the cables on the Apple ports stopped charging at all, but other chargers worked fine. I've hardly ever had a problem with my Apple branded cables/connectors after years of use, but this cable has one of the worst lifespans I've seen (shorter than most microUSB, something needs to be said)! I wouldn't recommend it just because it doesn't work quickly.
