When I first opened the box I was surprised at how small they were which made me think they wouldn't end up giving off much light (they're about the size of my thumb) but after I plugged them in. When I saw how bright they are I was glad they were so small because all that really matters is how much light they put out. I really wish they would make them in a light tone of 2700 Kelvin as it is a warmer tone than the 3000k but they are close enough and at least they are not as bright white as 4000k or 5000k. It won't kill them by putting a few extra small screws in your pocket. They are so small that they can easily be lost, in this case they are screwed because they are such small screws that you will have a hard time finding them at the hardware store. Speaking of screws, remember that you need a very thin screwdriver to get into the small hole where the screw is (I'm not just talking about the little Philips tip, I mean that the shank of the screwdriver itself must be small as the screw is recessed about 1/2" in there. I need to replace my dimmer although the one I have makes it flicker when I try to dim below 50% due to not enough draw .I should have seen how dim they might be made by hooking up a regular light on the same circuit to create more traction.They dim very well.
