This product is surprisingly very functional and works great. My wife, in-laws and I gave it a try and it was fun all the time. My wife was more enthusiastic about yoga while I was having fun with others. Also, I loved the classic retro games like Mario that come with it and it brings back old memories. Since this is a type of activity mat where you move across the mat or physically move the controller to play motion detection games, that literally tires you out pretty quickly and gives you a great chance to work out. It allows both physical and mental exercise and is a great factor to consider for this product. This dance mat will give you hours of fun and exercise. This dance floor gave my family hours of fun. You will love this dance mat and have lots of fun memories. I highly recommend it to everyone and especially families with children in the house. This would be ideal for younger children, teens and possibly older adults who probably don't need as much precision and just need something to keep them occupied and moving. My 2 cents below: Pros: - It's definitely a functional product and the games work as expected - Mat recognizes the player's footsteps very accurately. In the Yoga game for example, it even tells you where your foot is and where it's expected to be - The motion sensor works, but I feel like it sometimes misses the action when I'm moving fairly quickly - It's a complete one Package with many related games to use the mat. and controllers. There are so many games that you can't exhaust them all in a hurry. Classic retro games bring back old memories and I really want to play them again after so many years. You don't need a wireless remote at all as every step and selection can be made with the mouse pad unless you plan to play games with motion sensors. The light projection provides a great effect for gaming moments in the dark, and you will enjoy it in gaming tasks. The carpet has a rubberized structure underneath and grips the floor very firmly. It won't even move if you try it with your hand unless you lift it all the way up and try to move it. You tie 2 pairs of socks together in case you need them to use the blanket in winter. I'm glad the mat connects wirelessly to the central hub and gives you so much flexibility to play anywhere - the connection was super easy with just one HDMI cable. As soon as you insert AAA batteries, everything connects wirelessly. It was literally plug and play. This device does not connect to the Internet, so there is no installation or update concept. Everything is preinstalled - well packaged in a box and is a gift. Families with kids will love it - There is a button to turn off the projection light in case it bothers you like my wife does - The size of the mat is good enough for any player and the chances of hitting each other are almost zero if you count the space correctly - instructions in manuals are clear and concise. I didn't notice any ambiguity and I was able to get the system up and running in no time. Cons/Suggestions: - The build quality of the product cannot be rated as Class A like the Xbox or PS4. For such a high price I would have expected better. The graphics quality of all games is not HD, so don't expect it to be the same as other game consoles. You cannot download or add new games from any online store. It comes with the fact that it can work. The backlit main unit and camera is finished in rose gold, giving a cheap look to a functional product that could have looked better. You need 6 AAA batteries to use the systems (2 for each controller + 2 for the mat). I would like batteries. I really didn't have enough batteries at home to use it right away. I had to walk to the local supermarket to buy something. The camera can only be moved manually, and depending on the size of the player, you may have to manually adjust it all the time while playing with the camera. I wish it had auto-adjustment, or at least a wide-angle feature with auto-crop. The price is a bit higher for the features offered. PS: The manufacturer contacted me to give an honest review of this product after trying it and here is my unbiased review after trying it for a week and playing an average of 30-40 minutes every day.
