I used them to protect apples from codling moths and codling moths. I've tried 3 different methods of protection: modified plastic sandwich bags, Kaolin Clay Surround boots, and these organza bags. I usually prune my grapes to prevent birds from eating them, which takes a long time. Using these bags was more difficult than putting them on top of the apples, but they were 100% protected from birds. These bags are durable enough to be reused for many seasons. The downside is that the 5x7 size is the overall size, not the internal size. The bags weren't easy to remove from the largest apples, but I managed. They were too small for some of my grapes. The next size might be better for grapes and my larger apple varieties. In terms of price, they are comparable to football bags, but significantly more expensive than plastic bags. But if they last 4 seasons - and I think they will - they cost about the same. Plastic bags and t-shirts cannot be reused. Not all organza bags are the same. I bought some larger ones for grapes from another seller. More bags fell through than I would have liked. They were fine but much thinner and some of the threads had been pulled out. These bags were excellent for their intended purpose and I highly recommend them.
