It's cute and takes up less space than a large basket. But the upper basket is attacked by a lever that connects it to the lower basket. The arm isn't quite straight, causing the upper basket to sag a bit. It can still hold small fruits or garlic, but it's not very strong. The banana hook is strong enough for 4-5 bananas. The problem is they have to be small bananas to fit in properly and still be able to use the bottom basket for everything (e.g. apples, onions, potatoes). The medium and large bananas actually sit partially on top of the bottom skin. I would love it if the arm was a full 2" longer and the top bowl lifted a full 2" so the top bowl sat straight and parallel. into the lower bowl and strengthen the banana hook a little. I would happily pay another 5-7 dollars to do better.
