Review on πŸ“± iOttie Easy One Touch 4 Universal Car Mount Phone Holder Desk Stand - Dash & Windshield for iPhone, Samsung, Moto, Huawei, Nokia, LG, Smartphones (Black) by Tim Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Double impression. Good quality, but there are issues with fastening

Two impressions of this device. By itself it is very high quality. Excellent materials, everything seems to be thought out, looks and feels expensive and reliable. The very function of attaching the phone itself to the holder is a bomb! very comfortably! And the phone is clamped with soft pads, so there are no worries about the safety of the phone itself. The only question is to attach it to the air duct gratings themselves. The fastening (it can be found on the official website of iOttie) is not a clamping button, but a screw nut that clamps 4 petals. The problem is that the petals are not horizontal, but angled. And as a result, the whole structure in the installed state still hangs up and down. When driving and jumping over bumps, this is not the case, because under the weight of the phone, the holder holds its position. But it is worth carrying out some actions on the phone, as the holder begins to play vertically. Naturally, this will not be the case for all cars, it depends on your specific gratings: on their thickness, on the gap between them, on the general curvature of the air duct area, and so on. I tried on two cars, in different air ducts and in their different angles. the result is different, but still there is a backlash and it's annoying. Not critical, but annoying. This can take some getting used to, but it must be borne in mind before buying. If you have the opportunity to try before you buy, try it!
