I have four of these in different colors and I really like them. They fit well, are comfortable to walk on and look great. Everyone who has seen them liked them too. I like watching the flowers move when I step on them. If I could afford it, I would decorate an entire room with it. I think apart from being a fun decoration for all ages they would be especially good for crawling babies and for special needs toddlers who don't want to walk. /crawl while swirling colors provide instant natural reinforcement. They are also great for (some) people with visual and/or tactile sensory needs. They offer plenty of visual stimulation (which is probably reassuring) and gentle tactile input. While individual responses may vary, I personally have not encountered any uncomfortable textures or other sensory stimuli. I didn't notice any sounds or smells (and if I did, I probably would). I am very sensitive to many forms of sensory information and also tend to seek out certain types of tactile (and sometimes visual) information.
