"Chew " should be in quotes, as if you're using that word ironically.

My senior cat tends to swallow dry cat food whole so I won't even try them - they are rock hard. I even soaked them in water to see if they softened but no, now they're just wet rocks. So either toss both bags in the bin or pound them into dust with a mortar and pestle and add water to make a sauce that I can add to his other meals. But definitely won't buy them again. Update: I tried crushing them with a mortar and pestle and they were TOO HARD! Can you imagine that?! I ended up throwing both bags in the trash.
