Review on 🧣 RL2000 Flannel Sleep & Lounge Clothing for Men by Polo Ralph Lauren by Brian Nelson

Thinner and worse than the ones I bought a few years ago.

Like other companies, Polo (the brand company) is constantly finding ways to degrade products with less material and still charge the same or higher price. I bought the same pajamas a few years ago. Same model, same size. Made in Indonesia. Pretty thick flannel, nice thick drawstring waist. These vintage pajamas weigh 269 grams years after several washes. Gives an idea of how much material has been used. The new ones I just received are made in Vietnam (not that it matters) - obviously not the same quality. A cheap, flimsy drawstring waist that is much more difficult to untie once tightened. Elastic doesn't feel as strong or stretchy. These new pajamas weigh 225 grams, which is 16% lighter than my old pajamas that have been through many washes. Obviously much less material is used. A thin fabric that is sure to tear much sooner. Polo still charges the full premium price for this. Fraud and disappointment are a terrible way of doing business, obviously they care more about profit than anything and their brand name doesn't matter anymore. Now they treat pajamas as disposable fashion. Thin clothes are not durable, which you will have to do without after a few months.

Pros
  • They fit and were as I expected. They are very comfortable and look great
Cons
  • Limited size options for customers
