Bought 2 pairs of these earrings. 1 for me 1 for my daughter to be a special Christmas present from him as he will be out of town to work on Christmas day. In the evening of the same day we both took off the earrings as the pins had already lost their silver colour, it was copper, brass or worse! We both had huge red and swollen earlobes so bad we had to go to the ER for topical steroids, and because I had swollen lymph nodes the size of my little fingernail behind my ears on both sides, I was prescribed an antibiotic. The next day I took my daughter to the pediatrician. Her whole throat was swollen, red and hot. He was afraid of sepsis. She and I were hospitalized for intravenous fluids and intravenous antibiotics. I know it was the earrings we both wore. We both had infections. These cheap earrings cost me a lot. It could have been a lot worse! Don't waste money!
