Review on DOLBY-Enhanced Sound Bar: 2.1 CH TV Soundbar with Subwoofer for 4K&HD TVs (D2, 200W) by Carlos Massey

I replaced an Onkyo 5.1 surround sound system with this soundbar. Onkyo was an older system with wired speakers and the remote didn't work well. I heard an amazing soundbar at AirBnB so I was convinced the sound could be great (but unfortunately didn't tag the soundbar model that impressed me so much). Anyway, I took a chance with this sound. Bar, given the positive reviews, Dolby decoding, subwoofer and HDMI ARC to work with my TV. I'm not disappointed. It's not the richest sounding or the most powerful system, but it sounds good, clarity is excellent, and while some channels call for maximum volume, I've never noticed any distortion. We don't like overwhelming bass (or loud volume, for that matter) and the subwoofer is fine for us - we actually turned it down a few notches. There are a few preset mixer settings on the remote - I don't make a big difference between them, but we'll keep Cinema mode as we mostly watch shows/movies with Pandora music in between. With the remote control you can adjust the treble and bass separately. The construction of both the soundbar and the remote control feels solid. We hooked this up to our TCL Roku TV via HDMI only and the connection works great. It recognizes Dolby inputs, responds to the TV remote, and even responds to a volume up/down command on the TV via Alexa. (You'll need to use the soundbar's remote control to set the input to HD mode if receiving from an HDMI source - and you may need to change your TV's audio settings.) The product worked perfectly, so we're not contacting the seller had to. But the product came with a surprise coupon for a free set of Bluetooth headphones. Unfortunately, we could not get the respective website to accept our voucher code. It's ok but I emailed the seller and was pleasantly surprised by their quick response. We were never able to get the website up and running so after a few exchanges of messages the seller agreed to ship the headphones to us based on our receipt and coupon code. They arrived a few days later. You may not receive the same small gift with your purchase, but this experience gave me a lot of confidence in the seller. The only thing that bothers me a bit about the soundbar is the small LED display that shows reactions to all inputs, including from the TV (like volume, show start, etc.). When confirming a new input, the display switches to a super-bright, annoying level for a few seconds. It scared me to death so I put a few layers of translucent tape on the display and everything is fine. All in all a very good product, good value for money and a reliable seller.
