Find out which cap you really like

I ordered one of these Watergate bottles. I liked it so I ordered 2 more. The bottles that came had a different cap. The old bottle had a clear cap which I later found out was a moflo cap (I think the seller sent the wrong bottle). The new bottles have the gray cap pictured here and it is a watertight cap. So what's the difference? The Moflo cap does not have a "heart valve". Basically, this feature allows the bottle to be open and bouncing around in the bike cage without the liquid leaking out. To squeeze the liquid out you really have to squeeze the bottle. The lower the liquid level, the harder you need to compress. This compression shoots out water. I have to aim the bottle at my cheek so it doesn't go straight down my throat. On the other hand, the Moflo cap does not have a heart valve. If the bottle is opened and rattles, the liquid can squirt out. You won't lose all the water, but it will squirt out. If you don't want this, you'll have to close the bottle when you're done drinking. Because it doesn't have a heart valve, you don't have to squeeze the bottle as hard to force water out, nor does it shoot straight down your throat. I prefer the Moflo lid. Your mileage may vary. The bottles do not absorb the taste or smell of sports drinks (Gatorade) or powder mixes (Tailwind). The insulation works about as well as other bottle brands' insulation (poorly) but keeps the bottle from "fogging up". The bottles fit perfectly in the bike's bottle cage and don't slip out, neither do the bottle cages behind my tricycle seat which seem to throw most bottles. Conclusion: fantastic bottles. Find out which hat you like the most.
