I was building my own video editing computer and needed a new monitor to take advantage of the 2560 x 1440 resolution that my new graphics card is capable of. It's a monitor! Some like the anti-reflective coating, some don't. I'm closer to the end of the "love it" spectrum. I was afraid of getting a faulty monitor, but there are no dead/stuck pixels on this panel. The controls are easy to use and the touch buttons work flawlessly. The menu button even has a proximity sensor, so it lights up when you bring your hand close to it. Nice gesture. This is an expensive monitor, but you get great quality. C/Net still says "Buy a Dell u2711. But if you can't buy a Dell u2711, then this [other monitor] is a good second choice." Kudos. As Steve Jobs would say, "And one more thing." Before my u2711 arrived I ordered a dual link DVI cable so it could run at 2560 x 1440. Single link DVI cables cannot be used with this resolution. I was pleasantly surprised that this monitor comes with a dual-link DVI cable, an HDMI cable, and a DisplayPort cable. along with power cord and USB cable (for built-in memory card reader).
