Review on Culligan WSH C125 Wall Mounted Filtered Massage by Kenneth Foster

Not bad but the pressure can be improved

If you're looking to increase the pressure of your shower, look elsewhere if you're not ready to make changes. If you don't mind lower pressure when the water is filtered, this is an easy upgrade. The filter is really suitable for fresh water. I feel fresher, less itchy scalp, skin and hair are softer. it's really better for you. Imagine removing chlorine and other contaminants from water resulting in a refreshing shower. Unfortunately I got terrible pressure during the first installation. This means that the soap takes longer to wash off. I searched the manual for information on how to improve flow and pressure. Nothing. Then I revisited the Revain page and noticed that the video on the item page says something about removing separators. In the video you can see there are two types of stops, one slides out and then you see the rubber seal release. I tried it on mine as I didn't have a removable plastic stopper. It does not matter. I noticed that my device had a built-in piece of plastic that couldn't be removed. I also noticed that the hole in the main body was a lot smaller than my previous showerhead. So this is where the hard work of modifying the device and voiding the warranty begins. If you need both filtered water and adequate pressure, have a drill and a small flathead screwdriver, an ice pick, or a very small knife. I drilled the main hole and enlarged it. Then, using a pick and small knife, I removed the small rubber grommet on the built-in plastic piece, exposing more flow holes. Then I used a hammer and pickaxe to poke a hole in the plastic part, creating a hole for even more flow. I then used a screwdriver and a hammer to pry off the narrow part of the hard plastic ring inside the device. After the new installation, the pressure in the shower has improved significantly. Before the remodel, the water didn't reach the back of the tub. After the modifications, the water was able to reach the point where the wall and tub meet. The pressure is not optimal, but significantly better than with a normal setting. Too bad this voids the warranty, but now I've filtered water with good pressure!
