I understand that buying shoes online has its pitfalls, but before I ordered them I already had another pair from the same company in the same size (9) and they were perfect. It is not that much. They seem too big and in my case that might have been enough to ruin everything else about them. The edges rise and clearly dig into the ankle. That alone is crucial for me. They look like moccasins but are worn like moccasins meaning they don't go well with trousers but for some reason they look better with shorts and socks with no or no clothes on. But because they're made in the style of loafers, they don't look particularly good either. These are all arguably problems that sizing can solve, but I find the incredible difference in the same size between two different shoes from the same company incredibly annoying.
