We were looking for comfortable sleeping shorts that are not too short and do not restrict freedom of movement. It was perfect! I wore a PR, then washed in warm water and tumble dried through. When I was done, I took out one of the remaining new pairs to compare sizes after washing. The waist was exactly the same, the inseam was 1/4" shorter and the side seam (length) was about 1.5" shorter after washing and drying. This shrinkage was less than I expected. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. The shorts are soft and not thin. The pockets are a real bonus! I usually wear oversized pajama bottoms (pant size 10/12) but I bought size XL in them.
