Our little one wants to wear it every time we go to the beach or out in the hot sun and doesn't try to take it off (which is a amazing recognition for any child). Absolutely perfect hat. Our 2.5 year old is tiny; By tightening the top adjuster as much as possible and using the chin strap, he keeps it on his head even in windy conditions. The material is amazing - it protects from the sun and doesn't get heavy or saggy when wet. It is of course very big for our child but has room to grow and can be used for years because it is a good material that does not tear. I love how it covers his neck, ears and shades his face. I love it so much I've bought it for each of my sister's children (ages 2.5 and 4) - and it fits them too.
