I bought this dress thinking I would wear it and used it for a tunic style top rather than a dress because I knew it would be shorter than the dresses I wear usually wear. When I received it, even before I tried it on, I knew it wouldn't fit me! It turned out to be a lot smaller than I expected - not in length as I expected, but in width. I couldn't wear it in my usual size at all. Luckily it fit my daughter. I would say it runs a few sizes smaller. Strange dress! Although my daughter seems to like it. She's autistic and only judges clothes by how they feel, which means they're good! It's quite soft and the material seems to be of high quality. It's also warm but somehow I can't imagine the day you would wear it for a walk as if it was cool enough to wear that warm dress I think you would wear something much longer or pants ! But I don't hike much and there might be a need for hiking dresses this length if you're thinking of ordering a size!
