We kept rummaging through the fridge and came across undated items so we had no idea how edible they were. Also, we used a 10-25 cent disposable ziplock bag to save on groceries that may have cost a little more than the cost of a ziplock bag - of course, due to time constraints, we often failed to save groceries and the bag wasted. We use a marker to write the date on this band, attach it to the container and our use of ziplock bags has probably been reduced by more than 90%. It makes us more environmentally friendly, saves a few bucks and, most importantly, we know exactly how long the products are stored in the warehouse. I have a very busy family and college-age kids, and I'm often turned away/breaking the rules. such an idea. No pushback, it's so easy that the whole family jumps on board!
