Prior to that, the first single-lens reflex camera was a soap box, and I have to say that it was a terrible soap box. I am pleased with the camera; these drawbacks are minor compared to the advantages it offers. I use around one month. A friend of mine recently purchased a Nikon for herself, and while I was able to take a picture with it, I found that holding it in my hand, which isn't particularly large, was not very comfortable. I recommend this model; for a long time, I debated and decided between it and the Nikon D5100. I got to the conclusion that if you want to capture pictures in RAW, you need a card with 32 gigabytes of storage because 16 gigabytes can only hold roughly 430 images.
- The ergonomics are excellent, the camera control is satisfactory, everything you need is within easy reach, and the flash and video quality are both satisfying. A highly user-friendly menu called Settings, which allows for a speedy adjustment to the qualities of the photo, and that's it. When held, it conforms to the shape of the hand and, in contrast to the Nikon D5100, all of the fingers remain attached to the body. Taking pictures in the sports mode is fun because it is quick and clear. Screen that can rotate and is bright, which also makes it very convenient to use. More than only the comprehensive information is presented beside the photo metadata. After being overclocked, the battery has the capacity to withstand around 550 accurate shots, and possibly even more.
- Even at ISO 3200, there was a very high level of noise; to say nothing of ISO 6400 and ISO 12800, the noise level was over the roof. Autofocus can be a bit sluggish at times; but, considering that this is a kit lens, I should not be surprised. The mode dial does not spin 360 degrees. You have to spin the wheel for a considerable amount of time in order to go from manual mode to video mode. There was wear under the power lever; however, this appears to be a unique incident; it seems that a particle or something similar got into there. There is no autofocus available when recording video, although the focus may be adjusted manually without any difficulty.
